Natural, Gentle Pediatric Care

We love treating kids. It is an honor to be able to have a positive impact on their lives and futures.

Traditional Chinese Pediatric Techniques:

Pediatric Tui Na Massage

Tui Na Massage is a traditional manual therapy that uses the Chinese energetic model to affect the channels similar to acupuncture. Because the channels are related to the internal organ system, Tui Na can be used to treat a wide range of conditions. Children often enjoy Tui Na because it usually done with an invigorating rhythm that is at pace with their nervous systems.

Pediatric Acupuncture:

Kids are naturally healthy and benefit greatly from the Chinese energetic approach. This can be accomplished with or without needles. Older children tolerate acupuncture surprisingly well when properly guided. Young children, toddlers, and infants can benefit from techniques that stimulate acupuncture points and channels without needles. Kids have excellent innate healing abilities and they often respond remarkably.

Cupping is a non-invasive, gentle therapy that has been used extensively in traditional Chinese pediatric care for millennia. Cupping can be very effective especially for respiratory and immune related conditions, both acute and chronic.

Herbal and Nutritional Medicine

Small nutritional adjustments can often have profound effects on a child’s wellbeing and  future. The Chinese have a comprehensive understanding of pediatric herbal medicine that comes from 3000+ years of development.

The Pillars of Traditional Chinese Pediatric Care:

• Strengthen the child’s own natural healing responses.

• Adjust root deficiencies and constitutional imbalances to promote health later in life.

• Interfere minimally with the child’s own innate state of wellness.

• Treat the “pea and pod,” which means that the health of the child isn’t separate from his/her family.
