Dr. Heather Low, DTCM, LAc
Dr. Heather Low’s journey into the world of healing began early on, while caring for her siblings and animals. Her decade-long dedication to competitive gymnastics fueled her passion for human movement, leading her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Low personally experienced the transformative power of acupuncture, setting her on a clear path forward.
She went on to earn her master’s degree at the Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, followed by a doctorate from Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, solidifying her expertise in Traditional Chinese Medicine. As a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr. Low employs acupuncture, fire cupping, bodywork, moxibustion, and other holistic modalities to effectively address a wide array of health concerns.
As a licensed acupuncturist with nearly a decade of clinical experience, Dr. Low has collaborated with UC Berkeley’s Sports Medicine Department and esteemed practitioners of tuina and herbal medicine across the Bay Area.
Dr. Low is a firm believer in the power of personalized medicine, dedicating ample time to each appointment to foster a deep, meaningful connection with her patients. Known for her gentle touch and nearly painless needling technique, she approaches acupuncture with finesse and compassion.
